Get Involved
Volunteers are essential to The Lionheart School. Not only is the sharing of time and skills a wonderful way to support the school, but it also helps build a stronger, more connected Lionheart community. Current families are asked to indicate their volunteer preferences at the start of every school year’s registration process, but if you are a member of our extended community and would like to get involved, we'd love to have your support. A few of the opportunities are listed below.
Lionheart Gardens
We welcome corporate and community groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, and other small groups to volunteer their time helping with maintenance and projects at our gardens in Canton. Please contact Booth Jewett.
On-Campus Opportunities
Our school requires love and attention to detail in keeping our library, kitchen, and Occupational Therapy rooms clean, organized, and updated. If you would like to volunteer weekly or once in a while, please contact our Director of Operations.
Lionheart WORKS
Lionheart WORKS is a vocational education program that provides individuals, 18 and older, with customized work experiences while teaching basic employment skills. Our program utilizes volunteer job coaches, who provide support at designated work sites and work collaboratively with the WORKS team, site supervisors and family members. Applications and background checks are required of volunteers in this program.
Corporate Volunteer Days
Lionheart is fortunate to work with local companies who desire to have group volunteer activities for department or companywide volunteerism. Please contact Tracy Burke for further details.
