About The Lionheart School
At The Lionheart School, we believe every child deserves to be seen, understood, and given room to grow. Our mission is to walk alongside children who need more than a traditional classroom can offer — meeting them with an education shaped to their developmental stage, therapeutic support that nurtures their whole selves, guided opportunities to connect with others, and strategies built around who they are as individuals.
The Lionheart Model
We are a developmental, individual-difference, relationship-based philosophy grounded in the DIR® model. We integrate the principles of evidence-based practices. We focus on core challenges: relating, communicating, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Through our model, we support meaningful progress across the lifespan—grounded in relationships that matter. We bring together families, professionals, and communities to create real pathways for growth. Because when we understand the individual, we unlock possibilities.
Who We Serve
Lionheart primarily serves children on the autism spectrum who need support in relating, communicating, abstract and critical thinking, and problem-solving. These children are ready to work in a small-group setting without one-on-one support, and their families are looking for a developmental approach that addresses these core challenges.
