Offsite

Offsite work settings are selected based on affinities, abilities and work readiness for each participant.

Individuals entering the WORKS program begin with an assessment and discovery process to determine appropriate support and job options. Vocational instruction, applied academics, social thinking and self-advocacy related to the work environment are done on the Lionheart campus and at the individual’s specific work sites.

Job Coaches

Our program assigns job coaches and work sites where individuals can develop work skills and gain experience. The coaches provide support at designated work sites, and collaborate with the WORKS team, site supervisors and family members to ensure the optimal work experience. Lionheart WORKS is designed to help individuals achieve their highest level of independence in the areas of daily living, recreational activities, and vocational development.

Offsite work settings are selected based on affinities, abilities and work readiness for each participant. Existing worksites include the Lionheart Gardens, LionheARTisans, Dogwood Forest Assisted Living Community, Ed Isakson Alpharetta Family YMCA, City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department, Canine Assistants, Loving Hands Animal Clinic, The Rainmaker Group, Trophy Club of Atlanta, Scottsdale Farms, Y Radio Broadcasting Station, Lioncrest Farms and local newspapers.
