The Lionheart for Life program provides opportunities for “transition of students with special needs from high school to post-school settings such as college, vocational training continuing and adult education, adult services, independent living, community participation and employment including supported employment”. The program is tailored to each student’s individual profile, abilities and affinities and helps to develop life-long skills important for independent living and working. The Lionheart for Life program is continuing to evolve and incorporate other opportunities as they become available. Community involvement has been vital for the success of this program.
